How do I respond to a craigslist add?

I've responded to craigslist adds in the past, but it's been a few months. Since then, they've put alot of security features in to prevent bots from using cl to spam people. The bad side to that is, I'm having a hard time responding to the adds myself. Honestly, I'm a bit of a techno-tard, so I don't exactly understand some of what they're asking when I click on the links to get to the respond page. Meh. I remember being able to copy part of their address and sending the response from my regular e-mail account (or something like that) but either I forgot how or it wasn't working or something. Anyway, any help, well, I could REALLY use it. Thanks!
